These were such dream cosplays for us to finally get to complete! Ren has loved VII since he was a kid, and these two have been on our list since the year we started cosplaying. We waited once the remake was announced, so we waited for a while before we finally got both Cloud and Tifa’s design. We already had a lot of things for Cloud, so the moment Tifa got her design I think I bought materials the same day.

I was in love with her design from the moment I saw it. It was so much more befitting of a martial artist while still keeping it looking like Tifa (and also more flattering for my body style than her original). We put a lot of work into the small details of these cosplays, including resin casting materia, making molds to make the screws out of foam clay, hand etching the runes on her gauntlets, and of course, making the Buster sword a week before the con. We already know the things we want to fix, but we can’t wait to wear them again!
